Hi, I am going to america for 3 months to do a bit of traveling and see some new things. I was thinking north america.
Does anyone know if internal flights are easy to book and is it best to wait till im out there to book them?
Also are the hostels and cheaper accommodation easy to find in places like new york?
Are there any places that should especially be seen?
and finally … are hotels harder to book at Christmas and New year in new york?
thank you
WELCOME!!!
Very easy to book internal flights.
Hostels are very inexpensive, but attract "inexpensive" people…
Hotels are very difficult to book between Thanksgiving and New Years.
Places to be seen: that depends on your desires and tastes.

You should book your hotel room well in advance. If you want to be in New York City on New Year’s Eve, it might be too late. Places to see: it depends on how much traveling you want to do… but I would balance the cold of New York with a trip to Miami Beach or the Bahamas before you leave. On you way down you could stop in Washington DC and take in the museums or travel to Austin, Texas where they have an "arts" theme.

Well, I can speak for America here. Mexico and Canada are also in North America.
Hotels during the holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) are almost always solidly booked. And that’s the wintertime here so it may not be the best time to travel unless you are looking for snow. Southwest Airlines is the best airline to fly in terms of delays and quick boarding. Go to expedia.com or orbitz.com. They usually have pretty good deals there. How ever you book your flight, make sure you print your boarding pass online. That way, you can board the plane first and choose the seat you want. As far as what to see, it depends on what you want to do. We have beautiful natural wonders in Arizona (Grand Canyon), Yellowstone (Wyoming). We have party cities, Miami, L.A. Vegas, New York. If you want to avoid the snow, the southern states, Texas, Florida, California all have very interesting sites to see, things to do and fascinating people to meet.
Hope you have fun while you are here!!!
